Mike’s journey began in 1977 with a project that sparked a passion for paint. Today, he brings decades of expertise to work, delivering exceptional results.

Every great craftsman has a story, and Michael Anderson’s begins in 1977, with nothing more than a paintbrush, a family home, and a desire to help his parents. That first project, which was painting a house for his parents, freshened up the walls, but it also planted the seed for a lifelong passion that would eventually become his career.
Just two years later, in 1979, the foundation for what would become a family legacy was set. Mike’s parents started a small business that specialized in spraying polyurethane foam insulation. At the time, Mike was only 15 years old, and was mature for his age, but not exactly eager to take over the family business. His parents, however, saw something in him early on. They knew the company would one day be his, even if he didn’t realize it yet.
Back then, polyurethane insulation was an emerging technology. It offered a new and effective way to make homes more energy-efficient, something that wasn’t yet common in most residential construction. As Mike’s parents got their footing in the business, a call came from a family member that would change everything.
Mike’s uncle, who lived and worked in Fort Myers, had a business of his own and reached out with an opportunity. He had noticed that mobile homes across Florida, particularly those in Jacksonville, weren’t being built up or properly insulated. There was a massive market for spraying polyurethane foam on these structures to help regulate temperature and protect them from the elements. At the time, they estimated there were around 20,000 mobile homes in Jacksonville alone that could benefit from this type of work.
Intrigued by the opportunity, Mike and his parents decided to check it out. They headed to a mobile home park to see what the process looked like in person. Mike vividly remembers standing there, watching the polyurethane liquid spray for the first time. He saw it spread across the surface, then begin to rise and expand, almost like bread dough, before hardening into a protective layer. That moment stuck with him. What he saw was just chemistry in action as well as a dramatic transformation.
From that point on, Mike was hooked. He decided to learn everything he could about the trade. He began studying how polyurethane worked, connecting with manufacturers, and learning the mechanics behind it. The process reminded him of mechanical plumbing, with its careful balance of pressure, ratios, and timing. Over time, he gained hands-on experience with epoxies, silicones, and other advanced coatings, learning how each product behaved and what it took to apply them correctly.
But as he worked with these more complex materials, Mike also discovered their challenges. The cost of specialized products could easily reach $50,000 to $100,000 in materials alone, and every project came with strict requirements and delicate ratios. It was technical, demanding, and left little room for creative expression.
That’s when Mike realized where his true passion lay: not in high-cost industrial coatings, but in painting. Painting gave him the freedom to create, to restore, and to make a visible difference for homeowners. It combined the hands-on craftsmanship he loved with the satisfaction of immediate transformation, which was something he had admired since that first day watching the polyurethane foam rise.
What started as a teenage curiosity turned into a lifelong commitment to excellence. Decades later, Mike’s dedication to quality workmanship, honest service, and lasting results continues to define every project he touches. The tools and techniques have evolved since 1977, but the heart behind his work remains the same: family, integrity, and pride in every brushstroke.
Today, Mike’s decades of experience guide every project he takes on, from detailed residential repaints to complete home transformations. He understands that painting isn’t just about color, but it’s also about care, preparation, and craftsmanship. Every home he paints is treated like his own, with the same attention to detail and dedication that began all those years ago.
